Police: Drunk Man Took Off Kilt in Street

A man who might have had a little too much fun at Celtic Classic removed his kilt in the middle of E. Fourth Street at about 12:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Bethlehem Police Department’s weekend incidents report.

Then, sans kilt, the nearly naked man entered the Sotto Santi Pizzeria at 10 W. Fourth St., according to The Express Times. The offender, whom police did not identify, was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, police said.

Lt. Mark Diluzio told the newspaper that the annual cultural festival generally does not bring with it much in the way of criminal activity and this year was no exception.

However, in one other incident from the report, Matthew Wolfe, 27, of 1732 Troxell Court, Allentown, was charged with resisting arrest after he refused to leave the festival’s Grand Pavilion shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Wolfe was also charged with public drunkenness and two counts of disorderly conduct.
