Police Seek Man Who Attacked 11-Year-Old Girl

She was able to fight man off during walk to school on Friday

Bethlehem Police are looking for a man who tried to grab an 11-year-old girl outside of Donegan Elementary School in South Bethlehem on Friday morning. 

Police said the man came up behind the girl as she walked on E. Fourth Street. The girl was able to fight her attacker off, and run to the nearby Nieves market and report the incident, police said.

The attacker was described as a black male, 6 feet tall, thin with short hair and in his early 20s, police said. The girl told police the man had “small eyes.” He was wearing black pants and a puffy, black “North Face”-like jacket, police said.

The Bethlehem Police Department has put extra officers on patrol near the school today, said Det. Lt. Mark DiLuzio.
