Tony Bennett, Cheech & Chong at Sands This Weekend
Pennsylvania Blues Festival returns to Blue Mountain, while Wine on the Mountain returns to Penn's Peak.

The opening night of Musikfest is still a week away, but there is so much music and big-name entertainment around town this weekend, you might think the festival is already under way.
Legendary singer Tony Bennett, counterculture icons Cheech & Chong and Comedy Central regular Nick Di Paolo all roll through Bethlehem this weekend.
But if your first love is the blues, you only need to drive a half-hour north to Danielsville and Blue Mountain Ski Area to catch the annual Pennsylvania Blues Festival.

Let’s go over some of the options:
- Tommy Edward, better known to his fans as Sir Rod, takes the stage at the Levitt Pavilion at 7 p.m. Friday. Edward channels Rod Stewart from the crazy hair to the raspy voice. His performances are audience interactive with sing-alongs and fans on stage.
- Tony Bennett performs at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets start at $80.50 and are still available.
- Catch “midnight” showings of the cult movie classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Banko at SteelStacks at 11:30 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 and less for students, seniors and ArtsQuest members.
- The Pennsylvania Blues Festival is back for its 22nd year of blues in the Poconos. It kicks off at 8 p.m. Friday at Blue Mountain Ski Area with the Lehigh Valley PA Blues Showcase, which will include the BC Combo, Mike Dugan and Mike Mettalia. The festival runs through Sunday with blues luminaries including Guy Davis, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Ruthie Foster, Ivan Neville and Bobby Rush scheduled to perform.
- The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Wine on the Mountain festival on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe. The festival will include arts & crafts, light food, live music and of course, wine sampling.
- One of standup comedy’s most acerbic voices, Nick Di Paolo, performs at the Musikfest Café at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Di Paolo is well known to Comedy Central fans for his appearances at roasts and other specials. Tickets are $30 or $35 at the door.
- The original stoner comedians, Cheech & Chong, come to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center at 7 p.m. Sunday. The opening act is the 70’s classic funk band War, which scored hits with records like “Low Rider,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” and “The Cisco Kid.” The Sands has built a daylong event around the musical/comedy concert as a “Lowrider” car show in the parking lot outside the event center will begin at 10 a.m. More than 60 of these customized cars with hydraulic suspension systems are expected to participate. The car show is free. Tickets for Cheech & Chong start at $39.50.
