• Second half collapse hands Bradford first loss seasons versus Chucks (oleanstar.com) — Bradford basketball fans saw the Owls drop their first loss of the season at home, falling 49–43 to Punxsutawney after a strong first half and a rough, turnover-filled finish. Despite leading 24–15 at halftime, Bradford struggled at the free-throw line and couldn’t slow a late barrage of Punxsy three-pointers. The Owls now quickly regroup to face another big, physical opponent in DuBois on Thursday.
   

• Kinzua Quality Deer Cooperative Announces Winners of Deer Raffles at Deer Check Stations on SR 59 and SR 346 (solomonswords.net) — Hunters around Bradford might recognize the Kinzua Quality Deer Cooperative’s check stations on SR 59 and SR 346, where two visiting sportsmen just won $500 and $250 raffle prizes for deer checked this firearms season. The cooperative, based in the Allegheny National Forest near Bradford, uses these hunts to help manage deer numbers, support healthier forests, and sustain local recreation and jobs.
   

• Dennis 'Denny' Forquer, 83, of Mt. Jewett (solomonswords.net) — Bradford-area residents are mourning Dennis “Denny” Forquer, a Bradford-born Mt. Jewett resident remembered for decades of work at Corning and Bradford Electronics and deep involvement in Bradford’s Masons and Orak Grotto. The 83-year-old passed away December 4, leaving behind his wife Linda, children, grandchildren, and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be announced later, and memorial donations may go to the Mt. Jewett Sportsman’s Club.
