4 Ways To Help Report Hurricane Irene

Residents can contribute to Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch in many ways by getting in on the action with some of these suggestions.

The community has been spending the past few days preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Irene. Irene has already barreled through the Caribbean Islands and is heading our way.

Bryn Mawr-Gladwyne Patch will be providing updates on road closures, power outages and more throughout the storm, but the more information we receive from residents around town, the better our coverage.

Here’s how to get in on the action (send them in to danielle.vickery@patch.com, post them on our Facebook page or tweet them to us):

Send Photos

Photos of the storm would be greatly appreciated. Whether it's down wires, trees or even photos of what residents are doing in wake of the storm, we want to see. Make sure you tell us what the photo is of and what day/time it was taken and where the photo was taken (street/address).

Report Outages

Although we will keep you posted on Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne outages, let us know if there are any outages near your home. Whether that's your home's power, street lights going out, we want to hear from you (don't forget to let us know the location).

Shoot Video

Many residents are equipped with a smart phone, whether it's an Android, Blackberry or iPhone. Are you brave enough to shoot video in the storm (of course, in the confines of your safe home)? Shoot us an email and send them our way with the basic info (what/where/when)!
