Bryn Mawr Hair Colorist Mixing It Up

The salon owner returned to Bryn Mawr with her new product.

Aida Armani has re-established her hair-care business in Bryn Mawr with Hair Color 2 Go.

Armani had a salon in Bryn Mawr from 1997 to 2002, before opening Aida Armani Color Group in Narberth until 2008, when building problems prompted her to leave and merge with another salon.

In December, she reopened at 833 W. Lancaster Ave. after gutting the space, and brought in elements to give it a New York feel.

“It’s very cool-looking,” Armani said. “We want to keep it small and exclusive.”

Hair Color 2 Go is meant to replace buying hair color at a drug store, where it can be difficult to match your original hair color, Armani said.

The process involves a consultation at her salon, and the color is then custom blended and sent by mail to the customer, Armani said.

The salon also offers home hair-color parties and other treatments, like keratin.

Sometime this summer, Armani is hoping to add hair-loss treatments and a boutique with jewelry, handbags, scarves and gift items.
