Burglar Steals Snowbird's Rifle, Police Say

The break-in was reported Saturday from Woodleave Road in Bryn Mawr.

A single-shot rifle was among the valuables taken in the recent burglary of a Bryn Mawr house whose owner has been vacationing in Florida, Lower Merion police said in a media briefing Tuesday.

One of the children of the absent Woodleave Road resident that had been checking on the empty house occasionally discovered evidence of the break-in Saturday afternoon.

When exactly the break-in happened was not clear, though two neighbors each reported seeing a medium-complected man and white vehicle at or around the property on Friday.
