Dumpster Fire Causes Minor Damage to Garage in Bryn Mawr
No one was injured in the S. Merion Avenue fire, and the cause is being investigated.

Lower Merion fire officials are investigating a Tuesday evening fire that started in a Dumpster on the unit block of S. Merion Avenue in Bryn Mawr.
The fire began at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday in a Dumpster on the unit block of S. Merion Avenue, said Lower Merion Deputy Fire Marshal Jim McCoy. The fire then spread to a detached garage, causing minor damage, he added.
The and Merion Fire Co. of Ardmore responded and extinguished the fire in about 40 minutes, McCoy said. All units cleared the area within an hour and 20 minutes, he said.

McCoy said there were no injuries related to the fire. Investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, he said.
