FBI: Plymouth Bank Robbery Suspect Struck Bryn Mawr Wells Fargo

The Bank of America on Plymouth Road was robbed Wednesday, authorities confirmed.

Authorities are a seeking a man they say robbed the Bank of America in Plymouth Wednesday afternoon and fired a shot before fleeing on foot. No on was injured during the robbery, officials said.

According to information from the FBI, a black man entered the bank on Plymouth Road shortly before 4 p.m. and demanded money from the teller with a note. He had a semi-automatic pistol, according to information from the FBI.

The suspect is described by authorities as a black male in his mid 20s, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with a muscular build and a thin mustache and beard. He was wearing a white Nike baseball-style cap with a “swoosh” logo, a white T-shirt and glasses.

Philly.com reports that the same man is suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank on North Bryn Mawr Avenue in Lower Merion in May.

According to reports, on May 14 a man fitting the same description entered the bank and gave a black and yellow backpack to two tellers and told them to put money in the bag.

He did not have a weapon nor imply he carried one, police say. After receiving the bag with cash, the suspect left the scene.
