Is the nominee considered an “essential worker”?:
No
What does the nominee do for work?:
He owns and mobile experiential marketing company. But he is the one you mentioned in your article above who brought the food truck to outside of hospitals which provided meals to healthcare workers and first responders
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
He not only came up with the idea and the #phillystrong tagline, he and his staff got the truck wrapped and ready to be on the road in a matter of days, and they enlisted Senator Leach to help coordinate and food companies to help donate food and help sponsor the meals such as Dietz and Watson, Bimbo bakery, Herrs, Philly Pretzel Factor and Ardmore Toyota. They went to several hospitals over a few days where they fed thousands of healthcare workers and first responders. He worked very hard to put this all together and make it happen. They collected the food from sponsors they customize the vehicle and thought of all the details even including labels for the ground outside so people could social distance. His clients know him as a hard worker, detail oriented who will bend over backwards to get the job done. He is also a great boss to his employees and during this difficult time has sent food to his employees and their families and holds a weekly virtual bingo where a range of prizes are given out as well. His one employee recently had a milestone birthday, and he rallied his entire staff to do a surprise drive by parade in front of her house and brought his tour bus and truck wrapped with birthday messages, they even got the fire dept to come by! He also is always trying to help the community, and he along with his staff volunteer at Manna and have worked the Special Olympics at the Elwyn School for many years.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
When he sets his mind to something, there is no stopping him, he will do everything to make it happen. He really wanted to help those in our community who were working so hard to help us and to keep us safe which is where the idea to do a mobile food truck came from.
