Harriton House to Benefit From Third Annual Epicurean Extravaganza

The event will take place at City Tavern Restaurant in Philadelphia.

A portion of the ticket price for the third annual Epicurean Extravaganza at City Tavern Restaurant will be a tax-deductible donation to the Harriton Association, which maintains in Bryn Mawr.

Chef Walter Staib, , will be cooking up 18th century recipes enjoyed by the likes of Charles Thomson and Thomas Jefferson at City Tavern from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.

Charles Thomson, the first (and only) Secretary to the Continental and Confederation Congresses, was Harriton House's most famous occupant. Thomson lived there in the late 1700s.
