Jewelry Stolen from Chermar Lane Home
A woman returns home to find her front door open.

A woman called police after she saw unusual tire tracks in the snow on her driveway on Dec. 9, at approximately 1:37 p.m.
According to police, the woman was returning to her home in the 100 block of Chermar Lane when she noticed tire tracks in the freshly fallen snow in her driveway.
The woman thought the tracks were from UPS or FedEx and continued up the driveway, police said.
When she pulled up to her home, that's when the women saw that the front door was open, and that the frame had been pulled completely off.
The woman then entered the home and noticed that the bedrooms were ransacked, police said.
Police also said that if your home shows any sign of forced entry you should not enter it, and instead, you should immediately call 911.
The woman exited the house and called police.
Police also conducted a survey of the home and neighborhood, but nothing was seen.
Police also said that the home had an alarm system, but it was not armed.
Police reported that jewelry was stolen from the home as well as an iPad and a metal safe.
