Lane Closures Set for I-76 in Lower Merion
The closures are for a series of bridge inspections, PennDOT said.

Lane closures have been scheduled next week on Interstate 76 in Lower Merion Township, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Thursday.
The closures, at the City Avenue Interchange, are for a series of bridge inspections, PennDOT said.
According to PennDOT, the work schedule is:

- From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, the right lane of westbound I-76 will be closed at the U.S. 1 (City Avenue) Interchange; and
- From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, through Friday, Jan. 30, the left lane of the ramp from Schuylkill Avenue West to eastbound I-76 will be closed.
State bridges are inspected at least once every two years, the department said. “The inspections ensure the safety and condition of the bridges,” PennDOT said.
The work is dependent on the weather. Motorists traveling through the area are advised to allow extra time.
