Merger Close for Radnor-Lower Merion TV Station

The Lower Merion Cable Advisory Committee approved a plan that would bring back the township's public access channel.

The Lower Merion public access channel’s return to the airwaves is inching a bit closer after a plan to merge with Radnor Studio 21 was approved by the township’s Cable Advisory Committee, according to Philly.com.

The plan, according to Main Line Media News, would have the Lower Merion Historical Society form a new joint effort with Radnor Studio 21 to create original programming from the production company’s television studios in Radnor.

The programs would broadcast on channel 99 for Comcast users and channel 34 on Verizon, which have been dark since Lower Merion and Narberth Public Access Television had to shut down in November 2014. Content would also run on Radnor’s local access channel.
