Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-76 Sends Four to Hospital
The accident, which has been cleared, was near Exit 339 (US-1 South/City Ave).

There was a multi-vehicle accident on I-76 West near exit 339 (US-1 South/City Ave.) in Lower Merion Township at about 9 a.m., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Though it was unclear exactly how many vehicles were involved, one vehicle was overturned, Lower Merion Fire Chief Chas McGarvey said.
Belmont Hills and Penn Wynne fire companies received a call at 8:57 a.m. and responded, he said. Upon arrival, all four occupants of the overturned vehicle had self-extricated.

Three of the occupants were transported to for observation, and one was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, McGarvey said.
McGarvey said he did not have information on the extent of injuries or the occupants’ current condition.

The scene had been cleared by 9:25 a.m., he added.
