I-76 West Reopens After Accident; Traffic Moving Again

(Updated 6:55 p.m.) The reopening of the westbound Schuylkill Expressway finally caught up with traffic stranded back at the Belmont Avenue interchange. Vehicles are moving swiftly through that area now.

(Updated 6:30 p.m.) I-76 W has been reopened before Conshohocken, according to PennDOT. A PennDOT traffic map of the area still shows heavy delays on the westbound lanes and slow-moving traffic in the eastbound lanes.

(Updated 6:10 p.m.) Westbound traffic remains at a standstill on the westbound expressway. PennDOT's traffic map shows the backup affecting traffic all the way back to the Vine Street Expressway, as well as jamming up eastbound expressway traffic between King of Prussia and the accident site.

(5:30 p.m.) All westbound lanes of I-76/Schuylkill Expressway are closed between West Exit 337 (Gladwyne) and West Exit 332-PA 23 (West Conshohocken), according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

A PennDOT traffic map shows traffic completely stopped back to Exit 342.

6abc.com reports that a pickup truck, which was pulling a trailer and piece of machinery, overturned.
