Police Blotter: Burglary, Theft in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon, reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:
Burglary: On May 22 between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m., $600 cash and boxes of children’s clothing were stolen from the 1000 block of Lancaster Avenue, according to police. The apartment door had been left unlocked and there were no signs of force. The suspect, as described by a witness, was a 5’10” black man with dark skin and a medium build, last seen walking briskly westbound on Lancaster Avenue, police said.
Public drunkenness: A Havertown man was arrested and charged with public drunkenness in the early hours of May 24. Patrick Lake, 23, was denied reentry to in Bryn Mawr and got into an argument with the doorman, police said. When police stopped to investigate, the officer asked Lake for his ID, and he pulled out a Visa card. Lake was arrested and charged with public drunkenness, police said.
Burglary: Police received a report of a burglary on the night of May 23 on the 200 block of River Road in Gladwyne. When construction workers arrived for work on May 24, they found items missing, including a microwave, cabinets, nail gun, circular saw, router and hand tools. A rear door had been left unlocked, police said.
Theft: A black leather wallet containing credit cards and $20 in cash was stolen off the desk of a employee between noon and 4:30 p.m. on May 24, police said. The employee checked her credit card accounts and someone had been using them, police said.
Theft: Between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on May 25, a purse, cash, Coach wallet and credit cards were stolen from a employee’s locker, police said.
Underage drinking and fake ID: A Connecticut resident tried to gain
entrance to with a fake ID and when he was refused entry, he told Grog employees to call the police. The employee did call the police, and Michael Ward, 20, was arrested and charged with underage drinking and carrying false identification, police said.
Public drunkenness: On May 28 at 12:23 a.m., a police officer on patrol pulled into a municipal parking lot on the 900 block of W. Lancaster Avenue to find James Fagan, 37, of Massachusetts, lying on the ground next to a vehicle, apparently asleep, according to the police report. The officer checked on Fagan’s condition, and the man, who didn’t know where he was, was arrested and charged with public drunkenness.
