Police Blotter: DUI, Underage Drinking, Burglary and Theft
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

DUI: Police said they pulled over a car at about 1:18 a.m. July 7 at the intersection of Bryn Mawr Avenue and County Line Road because it had its high beams on and was speeding. When speaking with the driver, police said the officer could smell alcohol coming from the car, and everyone in the car was younger than 21. Police said the driver, Shawn Heard, 18, of the unit block of Rockwood Road in Newtown Square, had a BAC of .15 and was charged with driving under the influence.
Underage drinking: Two others in the car with Heard were issued citations for underage drinking, police said. Brendan Meehan, 20, of the unit block of Rockwood Road in Newtown Square, was cited with underage drinking. He was also picked up on a warrant from Delaware County, police said, but did not specify for what. Luqwan Toscano, 18, of the 300 block of S. Parkway Lane in Broomall, was cited with underage drinking.
Theft: An Apple iPhone 4 was stolen from sometime between 8:30 and 9 p.m. July 6 and was reported to police July 7. An employee put the phone down on a cart, and upon returning to the cart found the phone missing, police said.

Burglary: Police said a house on the 1100 block of Rock Creek Road in Gladwyne was burglarized between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. July 7. Residents returned home to find it ransacked, with several jewelry boxes displaced, police said. The burglar gained access through the basement window, police said, and about $5,000 worth of jewelry is missing.
Underage drinking: Police said officers on patrol responded to loud screaming on July 9 on the 800 block of Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr. Police said a woman was standing in front of a vehicle yelling, “You can run me over, but you’re not driving.” Police said the 19-year-old woman from Metford, N.J., Bridget Kernan, was trying to stop a 20-year-old woman from Tampa, Fla., Laura Adamchak, from trying to drive away after the two had been drinking. Kernan was issued a citation for underage drinking, and Adamchak was cited with underage drinking and could be charged with DUI pending results from her blood work, police said.
