Police Blotter: Theft, DUI and Public Drunkenness in Bryn Mawr
The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon, reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:
Theft: A victim was selling the contents of a house on the 400 block of North Ithan Avenue in Bryn Mawr, police said, and agreed to sell two rugs to someone. The person said they would pay for the rugs upon picking them up at a West Chester dry cleaner. The person then picked the rugs up at the cleaner’s without paying for them. The rugs were valued at $750, police said. The theft was reported May 15.
DUI: Police pulled over a man who drove through a steady red signal traveling east on Lancaster Avenue about 2:03 a.m. May 16, police said. The man failed a field sobriety test and blew a .19 on a portable breathalyzer test, police said. Charles Mayer, 62, of the 600 block of Loves Lane in Wynnewood, was charged with DUI, police said.

Public drunkenness: Anthony Pollitt, 42, of the unit block of Prospect Avenue in Bryn Mawr, was stopped at Lancaster and Warner avenues about 2:08 a.m. May 17 and charged with public drunkenness, police said.
Public drunkenness: Leo Lane, 22, of the 500 block of Daventry Road in Berwyn, was charged with public drunkenness after being stopped about 1:51 a.m. May 17 on the 700 block of West Lancaster Avenue in Bryn Mawr, police said. Lane blew a .29 on a portable breathalyzer test, police said.

Public drunkenness: Michael Cirullo, 21, of Holmdel, N.J., was charged with public drunkenness after he was stopped by police on the 300 block of North Roberts Road on the campus about 4:32 a.m. May 18, police said.
Public drunkenness: Christopher Scavitto, 30, of the unit block of Kenwood Road in Upper Darby, was issued a citation for public drunkenness after police found him at South Roberts Road and Reese Avenue about 1:25 a.m. May 20, police said. Scavitto was taken to for treatment, police said.
Public drunkenness: Andrew Aaron, 38, of the 200 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bryn Mawr was charged with public drunkenness, police said. Aaron was stopped by police inside about 6:27 p.m. May 20 after a cab driver told police he kicked the rear passenger door of the cab upon exiting.
