Police Seek Gladwyne Super Fresh Robbers

A woman was injured when someone tried to snatch her purse, police said.

A 90-year-old woman was injured as someone attempted to grab her purse in the Gladwyne parking lot on Tuesday afternoon, Lower Merion police said.

The woman was in the parking lot on her way into the store about 12:45 p.m. when another woman, described as in her 20s and wearing shorts, grabbed the victim's purse and began to struggle with the victim, police said.

"The victim refused to let go of her purse and suffered lacerations of her arm as a result of the strap cutting her," Lower Merion Police Lt. Frank Higgins wrote in an email.
