Rent a Harriton House Apartment—for $3K a Month

One is available now; the other will be ready in July.

Two apartments on the property in Bryn Mawr are available for rent for $3,100 a month apiece.

All rent goes toward the preservation of the Harriton House site, building maintenance and operation of programs there, according to Bruce Gill, executive director and curator of Harriton House. Rental is through the Harriton Association.

A 3,000-sq. ft. three-bedroom addition to the historic house is available immediately, with two bathrooms, a library, sunroom, fireplace, kitchen, garden, washer/dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, walk-in closets, and storage space, according to an ad.

A four-bedroom converted carriage house is available in early to mid-July. That apartment features a master bedroom with a large private bathroom and two walk-in closets as well as French doors overlooking the park. A second-floor office could be used as a fourth bedroom or child's playroom. The other second floor bedrooms share a full bathroom. The kitchen, sitting room, dining room, living room, closets and powder room make up the first floor, according to the ad.

Grass, leaves, hedges and snow are taken care of, the ads state.

There is a bus stop at the end of the driveway and "as much or as little gardening as you want."

Both apartments are close to the yard and paddocks where the sheep, goats, horse and young calves graze, according to the ads.
