Retired Main Line Teachers Start Lecture Series
What do two former Radnor High School teachers do with themselves after retirement?
Susan Wolf and Lois Wysocki, who both retired last year from the Radnor Township School District, have created “HomeGrown: Lectures-Learning-Locally,” a five-part lecture series that is more local (and less expensive) than the Philadelphia Speaker Series.
The first lecture will be a discussion with Ted Peters, president of Bryn Mawr Trust Company and Jack Brennan, former CEO of Vanguard, at 7:30 p.m. on September 26. The duo will talk about the economy, local and global, and how it has affected the Route 30 corridor. The sessions will be informal and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and to mingle with other people.
“It’s important to us that it has a community feel,” Wolf told Patch. The Wayne Art Center is hosting all five lectures.
A subscription to the series is $75 ($65 for current members of Wayne Art Center), and $20 for individual lectures. You can register on the Wayne Art Center website.
