Rain, Snow, Sleet Make Messy Saturday in Bryn Mawr, Gladwyne
Roads are increasingly slick as snow alternates with sleet and rain. Back roads in particular are treacherous.
In addition to the wintery mix of precipiation the area received earlier Saturday, the National Weather Service has forecast an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow overnight into Sunday.
A winter storm warning is also in effect, with heavy, wet snow causing hazardous travel and potential power outages. Snow is expected to stop between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the warning.
Lower Merion police are asking that residents avoid driving Saturday evening, according to an email notice.

As of 5:25 p.m., there are 154 PECO customers in Lower Merion without power, according to Lower Merion police. The total number of PECO customers without power is 178,155.
