Update: Six Injured in Gladwyne Accident Monday Afternoon

The accident occurred on Hollow Road near I-76, police said.

Two adults and four juveniles suffered moderate to minor injuries in a one-car accident Monday afternoon, police said Tuesday.

A vehicle was traveling north on Hollow Road near the I-76/Schuylkill Expressway ramp before it ran off the road and struck a tree, according to Lower Merion Police Capt. Bill Boegly. 

The driver told police he tried to brake to merge onto the eastbound ramp for I-76, but his brakes failed and the vehicle hit a tree on Hollow Road, Boegly wrote in an email.

The six occupants of the vehicle suffered moderate to minor injuries and were taken to Hahnemann Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for treatment, according to Boegly.

The vehicle did not leave any skid marks, he wrote, and investigation into the accident is continuing.

The accident (337) on I-76 West on Monday afternoon and caused traffic delays on the expressway.
