• Downtown Warming Center In Need Of Items - WBUT 1050 AM - Butler, PA (wbut.com) — A downtown Butler overnight warming center is urgently asking residents for donations to support neighbors experiencing homelessness. Glade Run’s Winter Warming Center on East Diamond Street needs laundry pods, bedding, snacks, and grocery gift cards, with access managed through vouchers from Catholic Charities or the Center for Community Resources. The center operates nightly through March 31.
   

• Truck Driver Cited After Striking Utility Pole on Route 38 in Eau Claire (explorevenango.com) — A Butler man was cited after his commercial truck left Route 38 in Eau Claire Borough and snapped a utility pole in half, though power lines stayed intact. The Saturday morning crash brought out state police from Butler and West Penn Power, but no one was injured and the truck was moved to a nearby parking lot.
   

• Judge questions potential use of ‘AI Hallucinations' in legal brief filed for Butler County lawsuit (wpxi.com) — A Commonwealth Court judge is scrutinizing whether attorneys in a Butler County-backed lawsuit used bogus, possibly AI-generated case citations while challenging state protections for gay and transgender residents. The Knoch School District and other plaintiffs deny using AI “hallucinations,” and their ethics counsel insists every cited case is real as they prepare a formal response to the judge’s inquiry.
