Blotter: Man Cited for Urinating in Public, Red-Tailed Hawk Saved

Here's this week's crime news out of Canonsburg.

Canonsburg police on Sept. 21 were called to 432 Duquesne Ave. for a report of a large bird injured. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that the bird was a red-tailed hawk with two injured legs. The Pennsylvania Game Commission was called in to care for the bird.

Man Cited for Public Drunkenness

Canonsburg police charged a borough man with disorderly conduct last week after an officer observed him urinating in public view along the woods near Van Eman and Richland Woods.

The charge against Justn James Dugan, 19, will proceed by summons.

Alan Joseph Graytor, of 141 Maple St., told police that someone stole an ITouch valued at $300 from his vehicle, which was parked overnight outside of a residence at 133 N. Jefferson Ave.
