Canon-McMillan Second Top-Scoring District in Washington County

The Pittsburgh Business Times list the top schools in the state and in western Pennsylvania.

Canon-McMillan is the second top-scoring district in Washington County—behind Peters Township, according to the Pittsburgh Business Times.

The newspaper released its annual list of top western Pennsylvania school districts and top Pennsylvania school districts Friday.

Canon-McMillan ranks No. 20 out of all the western PA schools—up from the No. 22 ranking last year. The district also moved up in the state ranking—from No. 79 to No. 62.

The rankings are based on three years of PSSA test scores in math, reading and science.
