Delinquent Garbage Bills Could Lead to Loss of Property

If your bill is more than a year late, your home could be the subject of a sheriff's sale.

Canonsburg Council on Monday unanimously voted to have Jordan Tax Service take the next step in collecting delinquent garbage bills—one that could lead to the loss of property.

For residents who have neglected to pay their quarterly garbage bill for more than a year, Jordan Tax Service will initiate the sheriff sale process.

If the bills remain unpaid, the sheriff’s department can move toward the sale of the home and property.
