Five Things You Need to Know This Week
Canonsburg, North Strabane and Canon-McMillan school directors all meet (and there's a steak dinner this weekend, too).
- Canonsburg Council will hold its voting meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in the borough building. The meeting is open to the public.
- The Canon-McMillan School Board will hold its voting meeting at 7 p.m. tonight in the district administrative building. It is open to the public.
- North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors will hold its non-legislative meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building. It is open to the public.
- The Canonsburg Zoning Hearing Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in council chambers to consider a petition by Deborah Schwab, who is requesting a variance of setback requirements on her Thornwood Drive property.
- The Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold a steak dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15 and includes dinner, which includes an 8-10 ounce strip steak, salad, potato, vegetable, homemade wedding soup. Tickets are available by calling 724-745-3950 or 412-925-0378.
