Five Things You Need to Know This Week
Busy week—here are five things you need to know.

- Today, Monday, Feb. 18, is Presidents Day. Federal, state and most local government offices will be closed. There will be no mail.
- State Rep. Jesse White, D-Cecil, will host a policy committee hearing on the state Department of Environmental Protection’s response to environmental testing in Marcellus Shale regions from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday in the public meeting room of Washington Courthouse Square, 100 West Beau St., Washington, PA 15301.
- The Canon-McMillan School board of directors will hold its voting meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the district administrative building.
- North Strabane Township supervisors will hold their non-legislative meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the municipal building.
- Visiting Angels and Senior Life of Washington will present "Overcoming the Top Ten Fears of Seniors" at 1 .m. Wednesday at the Frank Sarris Public Library. Residents are invited to attend and learn information in order to reduce fears associated with aging. Light refreshments provided.
