Loud Toys=Thanks Aunt Mandy=Your Monday Morning Laugh

It all started with a burping alligator toy.

If you're an overzealous aunt or uncle, perhaps you can relate to this sarcastic phrase (uttered in my case by my little sister): "Thanks, Aunt Mandy."

The latest "thanks" came after my sister, Ashley, was staying up after her husband and two little ones went to bed—the only time her house was quiet enough for her to concentrate on her online classes.

It all went fine until the burping started.

After searching around for where the heck the mechanical belching was coming from, she discovered its source: A small toy that I had bought my niece Lilly. It's a small alligator that had a lollipop on one end and an alligator head on the other.

There is a little button that, when pressed, makes the toy utter a belching sound.

But despite nobody being close to it, it just kept burping, and burping ... and burping.

So, just to prove a point, she posted the accompanying video on Facebook with her sarcastic, "Thanks, Aunt Mandy" message.

I hope it makes you laugh. It made me laugh (and feel a tad guilty at being the cause of all the disruption).

P.S. Hey, Ash, the batteries will run out sooner or later!
