New Frankie I's Expected to Open in Fall

A new Frankie I's restaurant is expected to open in the fall.

Owner Frank Iannarelli told the Observer-Reporter that construction is under way at the location of the old Frankie I's on Route 19 in North Strabane. 

The popular restaurant, converted from a 100-year-old barn, was destroyed by a fire in January 2012 that started in the kitchen.

The new restaurant will keep the classic appearance of a barn, but with a modern touch, according to the report.
