News Nearby: Thief Plunders Unlocked Gym Lockers
Police said a thief stole car keys and valuables from five lockers at LA Fitness.

Five unlocked gym lockers at became a treasure trove of stolen goods for a thief on Jan. 9.
Collier police said five people had car keys or valuables stolen from their lockers because they didn’t secure them at the gym located inside .
One person told police that he left his keys in his locker, and returned to his car to find $300 missing with the keys sitting inside. Another person told police a black backpack was taken with his keys, although nothing was missing from his car.

Police said another man told them that his Nike “Jordan” jacket and shirt were taken from his locker. Another victim said someone used his keys to steal an amp and speakers from the car’s trunk, although the keys were returned to the locker.
Someone else told police he found his keys on the front seat of the car, but nothing missing.

Police think the crimes are connected and are urging people to lock their gym lockers if they’re storing valuables or keys inside.
