North Strabane Residents Upset After Developer Removes Trees

Summerbrooke neighbors in North Strabane Township attended Tuesday night's supervisors' meeting to complain about the scores of mature trees removed by a work crew, according to the Observer-Reporter.

JND Properties, the developer for the Majestic Hills housing development next to the Summerbrooke development, removed the trees, according to the newspaper.

The township requires there be a 15-foot buffer on the Majestic Hills side and a 50-foot buffer on the Summerbrooke side. Some of the land can remain open space, but at least 35 feet on the Summerbrooke side must be planted buffer, according to the report.
Supervisors told the residents the buffer would be replaced.
