PennDOT Plans Bridge and Culvert Replacements in Washington County

The public is invited to a planning discussion on September 23 at the Union Township Municipal Building.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is conducting a public meeting for the Route 1006, Sections K10 Bridge and Culvert Replacement Projects located in Nottingham, Peters and Union Townships, Washington County.

This project is the replacement of the bridge carrying Venetia Road over Peters Creek. The new bridge will be constructed on a new alignment which will eliminate the S-bend in Route 1006. There is another small culvert located approximately 500 feet down the road that will also be replaced with the project, and the railroad crossing will be resurfaced. A detour will be used during construction.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the proposed project scope, Traffic Control, schedule, and other relative information. In addition, PennDOT and its consultants will be available to answer questions and gather feedback.
