Pop Music Hall of Fame Voting Underway

Music lovers, listen up: Nationwide voting begins this week for initial inductees for the “Iconic Pop Song” portion of , which will be located in .

Initial voting will reduce 300 nominated songs to 40.

The voting will take place over three weeks—with voting for 100 songs from 1946-1955 this week, from 1956 -1965 the week of Sept. 3 and from 1966 -1975 the week of Sept. 10.

Voters may cast five votes from each list.

Voters will then be permitted to vote again for the final selection of 20 inductees from a field of 40 of the most popular songs from 1946-1975.
