• No injuries, one resident displaced by apartment fire in Gettysburg (ydr.com) — Cashtown Community Fire Department helped Gettysburg crews quickly control a downtown apartment fire Wednesday morning that displaced one resident but caused no injuries. Working smoke detectors alerted occupants in the West Middle Street building, allowing them to evacuate safely while multiple regional companies assisted in extinguishing the accidental kitchen blaze and checking for remaining hot spots.
