Come Visit The Patch Tent at Bridgeville's 'Day on the Avenue'

Bridgeville’s annual community event will bring out residents and area businesses for a fun day in the sun Saturday.

The event along Washington Avenue–the main business strip through Bridgeville–will go from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. with food, events and games for all ages.

Firefighters from around the area will also be playing “hose hockey” in one of the parking lots rather than the normal Battle of the Barrel. There will also be a classic car cruise nearby for motor heads.

And don’t forget to drop by the Chartiers Valley Patch table to say hello and get free Patch swag.

The Bridgeville Athletic Association will also hold a Family Movie at Chartiers Park at dusk.

The closure of Route 50 for the day means motorists passing through should prepare for delays. Detours around the street carnival will be posted in the area.
