A resident helped stop a burglary when someone entered their home through the basement. Also in the police blotter, read about a copper theft inside an area home.

Resident foils burglary: A person lounging in their Collier Township home was startled earlier this month when a burglar entered their home and could be heard rustling around in the basement. said a white man in his 40s broke into the Joyce Drive home on June 11. The resident heard the commotion downstairs and went into the basement to confront the person. The burglar left in a silver pick-up truck police said.
Tools stolen: A trailer parked at Muirfield Drive in Collier was burglarized and tools worth $750 were stolen in the early hours of June 12, township police said.

Woman found passed out in car: Collier police said they charged Lynn Richardson with drug possession, possession with intent to deliver and disorderly conduct after officers found her passed out in her car in front of the Chuck-E-Cheese restaurant on June 9.
Items stolen from flea market: A vender at Trader Jack’s told Collier police someone stole a duty belt and 40-caliber ammunition on June 17.

Drug charge: Cindy Tillar, 42, of Carnegie, was charged with possession of a controlled substance following her arrest on an unrelated warrant on June 11, Scott police said.
DUI arrest: Branden Jones, 25, of Carnegie, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance after Scott Township police said they found him passed out in a vehicle on Greenvalley Court on June 11.
Copper theft: Scott Township police said someone entered an unlocked John Street residence and stole copper piping on June 9.
Retail theft charge: Victoria Nagle, 50, of Pittsburgh, was charged with retail theft after Scott police said she removed items from the GetGo gas station on Washington Avenue on June 13.
Boy charged with breaking window: A 14-year-old boy is charged with criminal mischief after Scott police said he broke a car window on Mansfield Avenue on June 11.
ATV stolen: A red and black all-terrain vehicle parked inside a Robin Drive garage was stolen on June 13, Scott Township police said.
