Six motorists facing DUI charges waived their rights to a preliminary hearing before this past week. District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet oversees Bridgeville, Collier and South Fayette, while District Judge Gary Zyra oversees Heidelberg and Scott Township.

Charges waived to court
- Drunken driving charges against Gary Lee Wharton Jr., 44, of Rayland, Ohio, were waived to court. Collier Township police charged Wharton on Aug. 7.
- Charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance against Korey S. Maccarone, 19, of Bridgeville, were waived to court. Collier Township police charged Maccarone on Aug. 7.
- Drunken driving and carless driving charges against Angel Kochhar, 35, of McDonald, were waived to court. South Fayette police arrested Kochhar on July 14.
- Charges of drunken driving and failing to render aid against Timothy Malloy, 46, of Haddonfield, N.J., were waived to court. Bridgeville police arrested Malloy on June 18.

District Judge Gary M. Zyra – 9/20
Charge waived to court
- Charges of drunken driving, possession of a controlled substance and numerous other vehicle citations against William Kasecky Jr., 4, of Carnegie, were waived to court. Heidelberg police arrested Kasecky on June 29.
- Charges of drunken driving, careless driving and alcohol beverage restrictions against Aaron T. Washington, 18, of Scott, were waived to court. Scott Township police charged Washington on July 31.

Charges reduced
- A charge of driving under suspended license against Fred Lagattuta, 54, of Brookline, was reduced to a non-traffic citation. Scott Township police originally charged Lagattuta on July 2.

- Charges dismissed
- Two felony counts of access device fraud and an identity theft charge against Heather Habovick, 41, of Bridgeville, were dismissed. Scott Township police originally charged Habovick on Feb. 15.
