• 'We weren't going to win on Saturday:' Plow, salt crews weather weekend snowstorm (triblive.com) — Cheswick’s two-man road crew worked from Saturday evening to clear the borough’s steep hills first, and by Monday every street was plowed with no complaints reported. Local leaders say they’re well prepared for more winter weather, with 340 tons of road salt expected in January and typical flat streets handled after the most challenging hill sections. 
• Springdale Council approves data center despite resident resistance (triblive.com) — A large AI data center has been approved for the former Cheswick Generating Station site, bringing major industrial redevelopment right next door to Cheswick residents. Springdale Council okayed the project 5-2 despite vocal opposition over noise, diesel generators, and environmental impacts, adding 19 conditions on issues like emergency services support, sound monitoring, and traffic access. Design and permitting will unfold over the next several months.
