$12 Million Cranberry Tunnel Project Set To Begin In Spring
The MSA Thruway project should relieve traffic congestion along Route 228.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Construction is slated to begin next year on the $12 million MSA Thruway linking the Cranberry Springs development and the Cranberry Woods Business Park. The work will start in the spring and is expected to be completed
The project includes construction of a 150-foot underpass that will link the business park and Cranberry Springs. The thruway will provide alternative access to those developments for vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles and should reduce traffic congestion in the
Route 228 corridor.
State officials believe the project will help create more than 2,300 permanent full-time jobs and more than 4,000 temporary construction jobs.
