Cranberry Drivers Rank Among PA's Worst: Study

An auto insurance comparison platform has analyzed which places in Pennsylvania have the best and worst drivers.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A new analysis attempts to pinpoint the places in Pennsylvania that have the best and worst drivers, and Cranberry drivers are rated among the latter.

The study by QuoteWizard,an online auto and home insurance comparison platform, evaluated driving behaviors based on four factors to determine overall driving quality: accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs and citations. The company analyzed thousands of insurance quotes from Pennsylvania residents to determine its rankings.

A QuoteWizard report in December found that Pennsylvania drivers are the nation's 16th best, but are paying a price for inadequate infrastructure.

QuoteWizard contended that 28 percent of the state's roads and 7 percent of its bridges are in poor or unacceptable condition. The study ranked Pennsylvania as having the nation's seventh-worst infrastructure.

According to the study, potholes and deteriorating infrastructure cost drivers an average of $620 per year.
