Cranberry Highlands Adopts New Green Phase Standards

Find out here what changes are coming to the golf course when Butler County enters the state's green reopening phase.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — With Butler County transitioning to the green phase of the state's reopening plan on Friday, Cranberry Highlands Golf Course is adopting new protocols. The new rules follow Centers For Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and the PGA Back2Golf initiative.

Here's what you need to know:

BOOKING
  • Online tee time bookings accepted for threesomes and foursomes.
  • For bookings of 1 or 2 players, call the Pro Shop at 724-776-7372, ext. 2.
  • Tee times are 10-minute intervals.

CHECK-IN AND PAYMENT

  • Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tee time. Observe social distancing while in the cart staging area. Face coverings are suggested.
  • Upon arrival, take golf clubs directly to the staging area, place on a cart and proceed to the Starter Hut, located near first tee, to check in. One customer is permitted in the Starter Hut at a time.
  • Credit cards are needed for payment.
  • Once checked in, proceed to a cart. The putting green is open to the group next on tee for practice. The starter will give notification when #1 tee is open.

CARTS

  • Carts are required every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays until 2 p.m.
  • Two players per cart.
  • Carts located in the staging area have been sanitized.

PLAY

  • Putting greens are open to the group next on the tee for practice. Observe social distance guidelines.
  • The driving range remains closed to accommodate private, individual lessons and small group clinics.
  • Follow all starter’s instructions, course signage and any messages from golf staff displayed on the cart’s GPS screen.
  • Flagsticks are always to remain in the cups.
  • A 3-inch foam insert has been placed in cups to allow golfers to “putt out” and still safely retrieve a golf ball without touching any surfaces.
  • No rakes, ball washers or water coolers will be on the course.
  • Play all bunkers as waste areas.
  • Out of courtesy for the groups behind, smooth footprints.
  • Wash stations are located next to portable restrooms on the 13th and 14th holes.
  • After finishing a round, return cart to staging area.
  • Dispose of any trash in provided receptacles.
  • Proceed directly to the parking lot with golf clubs. Carts are not permitted in parking lot area.
