CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA —In response to recent high temperatures and a historic, prolonged lack of rainfall, Cranberry Township asks all water customers to reduce their water usage voluntarily.
While the township is not currently under a drought emergency declaration, residents and businesses are encouraged to follow the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s water conservation practices to help ease demand.

- Limit outdoor watering to early morning or evening hours (5 p.m. to 9 a.m.) and use watering methods that minimize waste, such as buckets or hoses with automatic shut-off nozzles.
- Postpone nonessential water uses, such as power washing paved surfaces, filling decorative fountains, or washing vehicles at home.
- Re-use water where possible, such as repurposing kiddie pool water for gardens or landscaping.
- Consider shortening showers, running only full loads in dishwashers and washing machines, and fixing leaks promptly.
“These steps are voluntary, but by working together to reduce unnecessary water use, we can ensure continued reliable service for all residents and protect our system,” said Jason Dailey, Interim Utilities Director.
The Township will provide updates as they are available.
