Cranberry Route 19 Improvement Project Moves Forward

The project will include a new traffic signal at a Route 19 intersection that has been the scene of numerous accidents.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A long awaited improvement project at a busy township intersection is progressing.

Supervisors on Thursday approved several agreement with Progress Place Holdings to speed the start of work at the intersection of Route 19 and Progress Avenue. The work will include widening Progress Avenue, traffic signal installation and a new turning lane.

The township has received $300,000 through the Automated Red Light Enforcement Grant Program and $250,000 via a Multimodal Transportation Fund for the project, which currently is in the design phase.
