Cranberry SportsCourts Complex To Be Dedicated

The new complex in Graham Park will provide numerous sports and recreation options.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - The new SportsCourts complex at Graham Park will mean expanded sports and recreational options for township residents. After two years of planning and construction, the coplex will be dedicated in a ceremony on April 14 at 9 a.m.

The project includes eight pickleball courts, two tennis courts, four horseshoe pits, three bocce courts and a community garden. Along with SportsCourts construction, the park's access road was shifted closer to the park's western edge to provide additional parking spaces near the Miracle League field.

The new complex is ADA compliant without stairs or steep slopes. It includes sidewalks wide enough for two wheelchairs to pass.

The new complex will especially benefit the Cranberry Township Pickleball Association, spearheaded by Township Supervisor Bruce Mazzoni. The association will offer pickleball lessons, drills, rankings, pairings, and court reservations.

Community Chest officials undertook a $750,000 fundraising campaign to pay for SportCourts. Founded in 1975 by the Cranberry Township Rotary, the Community Chest's mission includes encouraging residents to support, volunteer or join one of the more than 40 nonprofit groups in Cranberry and Butler County.
