Cranberry Township Rotary Clubs Help “Green” the Community

Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary and Noon Rotary Clubs contributed to the Township's effort to "green" the community on June 28, 2017

The Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary and Noon Rotary Clubs contributed to the Township’s effort to “green” the community. Members of the two clubs gathered on Wednesday, June 28, to plant a total of four Japanese Ivory Silk Lilac trees along the Brush Creek Trail in Graham Park. According to Township officials, the trees are one more step in enhancing the popular trails that are frequented by bicyclists and pedestrians.

The public was invited to attend on Wednesday, June 28th:

· 2:00 p.m. – Trees were planted by Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary Club

· 3:00 p.m. – Trees were planted by Cranberry Township Noon Rotary Club

The Rotary Clubs in Cranberry Township are two among 33,000 that are active across 200 countries. Locally, the clubs help fund initiatives at Voice, Gleaner’s Food Bank, the Cranberry Township Community Chest, and dictionary and scholarship programs for local students.

The Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary Club is putting out a call to recognized community leaders, coaches, teachers and others to take a seat in the Dunking Booth that will be hosted by the club during Cranberry Township’s Community Days in mid-July. All proceeds will be used to continue enhancements at Graham Park.
