New Freedom Road Turnpike Bridge To Debut
The project is part of a long-term effort to extend Freedom Road to the Beaver County line.

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — The first phase of a multi-project renovation and expansion of Freedom Road is completed. The new Freedom Road Turnpike Bridge will have a grand opening ceremony next week, township officials announced.
Work began in the spring of 2019 to replace an existing span over the Pennsylvania Turnpike with a wider span. A new six-lane bridge was constructed in sections off-site and moved into final position that required only short-term road closures.

- Freedom Road is being expanded from Commonwealth Drive to Haine School Road. Construction of the $20 million project is scheduled to be completed by next fall.
- Extending Freedom to the Beaver County line will be done in two phases. The first will enlarge the road between Haine School Road and Powell Road. The second will expand Freedom between Powell and Lovi roads. Both phases are expected to be completed by fall 2024.
