Seneca Valley To Host Internet Luring, Cybersecurity Speaker
Nationally renowned speaker Alicia Kozakiewicz will deliver an upcoming presentation at Seneca Valley High School.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — After becoming the victim of an Internet luring and abduction, and following a miraculous rescue by the FBI, Alicia Kozakiewicz created an awareness program that addresses Internet safety and awareness education.
The acclaimed speaker and Internet safety expert will visit Seneca Valley Senior School in Jackson Township on Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. to deliver a staff and parent presentation "Saving Lives & Stopping Predators: This is Alicia's Story."
Kozakiewicz not only will promote the importance online safety but also to advocate for missing and recovered persons, and to battle against child sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

During the presentation, audience members will learn about cybersecurity,and ways that students can safely use computers, mobile devices, social media, gaming systems and apps. There will be a question and answer session as well.
“I think it’s important for parents to be truly informed on the predators that are out there and how they surreptitiously contact our kids,” Seneca Valley Safety and Security Supervisor Officer Jason Young. “This program is yet another effort to provide parents, guardians and staff members the resources to help students safely navigate social media and online activities.”

The event, sponsored by the Seneca Valley Foundation, is free. The information to be discussed is not suitable for younger audiences; no students or children should attend.
